This number showed as Medical Service Group on my caller ID. They said where setting up mail order prescriptions for our medical insurance. They seemed to be fishing for medical information about my wife. Ask me to verify things like our insurance, where was her pain was, and who her doctor was. They never ask for any policy numbers, social security numbers, or credit card information. I am not sure what they can do with the information the got but just the fact that they never told me anything only received info from me. It maybe some kind of scam.
This is the pain creme scam. They will at some point ask for insurance information. They will harass your doctor into signing a prescription, or they may even forge the prescription. Then they will send you a worthless, possibly dangerous product, and bill your insurance thousands of dollars. Never release information to someone you don't know. You can always get their number, hang up, and call your insurance company and ask if they requested that call.
