Craigslist scammer. Easy way to find them: They post within about 2 hours of a listing being created, and exactly repeat the title of the listing including the price. Then they ask if it is still available.
As soon as you reply, they respond back with the following - ALWAYS the same.
Thanks for getting back to me,Am really interested in buying it and am ok with the listing price. But i will like to know the reason why you are selling it and the present condition.
Another popular reply:
Ok. But,i'll have to write you a check & include my Movers payment. After deducting your pay, the leftover fund will be for movers for pick up. Ok?
I received this number immediately after posting the listing. However, the sentences were a little different, and they asked for my email (which I didn't give out), and claimed to be "Mary Hill". Definitely a scam.
Yeah I almost feel for it. Thanks to this page I was able to find out before it was to late. Wording was exactly the same. Ask if we could talk and he had some excuse that he was at work and could not talk.
