Got a call from Alex Matthews, whom sounded like a man from India, stating he was an officer from the IRS and that I owed them $8,422 from a miscalculation on my taxes from 2009-2011. He gave me his badge number GS5652 and my case ID #DC1986. He threatened to freeze my bank account, take my house and suspend my drivers license.. When I refused to cooperate, he rudely said that an officer of the federal court would be executing an arrest warrant and would be at my door in 35 min. However, he would not hang the phone up and continued wait to see if I would accept one of the payment offers he was proposing. That's when I concluded it was a scam.
