I just received a text message from 478-998-0445 that I won a $1000 Best Buy Gift card. I was ready to spend the money until I checked this page and found out it was a scam. Losers, they have nothing better to do than to get me excited about winning. FAIL!!
Tried to send a "STOP" text back and got a "Destination not authorized to receive". Don't go to the website, my antivirus detected lots of harmful activity and luckily closed my browser before I got to the site. Hope this helps...
I too received a text at 1:27am stating that I had wona $1,000 Best Buy gift card for an entry I submitted. I know I didn't enter any contest and the web address that had ".net" was a red flag for me. I'm glad I didn't go to the site, but came here instead. Thanks 800notes.com!
my message stated that a friend had entered me in a contest and i came in 3rd, go to website and claim your prize. my good buddy norton took care of the situation. 23 tracers were removed. i agree with the guy above, these guys have no life, no girl friend and nothing better to do. if there smart enough they don't get caught so they don't even get credit for the no brainer scam.
