I answered with the name of our business. THEN, heard the telemarketer background noise. The man just said, "HUH???" when I answered. I then quickly hung up and put him on the blocker. No time to deal with these people and the do not call list is a joke! Wish someone could help business with people like this so our phone lines will stay open for customers and we won't have to continue to screen our calls.
You are misinformed if you think a business number is eligible for Do Not Call protection. The Do Not Call list is for residential and personal cell phones only. No business numbers can protected. Business to business calls are explicitly excluded. Any telemarketer selling goods or services that calls a known business number is not required to screen calls against the DNC list before calling.
