"Wells Fargo" called me about an auto loan... I asked him why he was calling from an Arizona area code and he go snarky with me saying that's where they're based. Okay, sure. I told him I wasn't interested and he ended the call quickly. I then called Wells Fargo's 800 number and they said that no one has tried contacting me about anything vehicle related (loan, insurance, etc.) and that it was most likely a phisher phone call.
If not, and the gentleman was legitimate, then my apologies for being so rude but I don't trust phone numbers that I don't already have in my phone.

We've gotten a couple calls from Wells Fargo regarding our auto loan. We don't have an auto loan. They always tell us to call back at the same number that showed up on the caller ID which was 480-337-3176.
