Just got a call from someone claiming to be from, "private client services". She didn't specify which bank (and I don't have an account with the private client divisions of any banks or brokerages) and said she was calling to notify me of a change to a merchant account, then the message cut-off. Didn't answer the call because I didn't recognize the number. Obvious red flags for a scam. Added the number to my blocked calls list.

I also received a call from these people and they are very unclear as to who they are. They claim the be the private client services division of Capital Bank Card and in the call they start talking to you about charging directly with Visa and Mastercard with no fees as opposed to the credit card merchant you may be using. They cannot email you to prove who they are and they want to send someone to meet with you. I have received these calls a couple of other times. I would be wary of them.
