I have been receiving calls from a man that states that I owe him money from an internet business that I do not have (I did express interest in setting up a website for a consulting firm that I was considering opening at one time, but decided not to go through with it). When asked if he could provide information he stated that he did not have my account in front of him. He said he was calling from a golf tournament. He stated that he is taking me to court to put a lean on my property, and that the legal department (presumably at his company) was very eager to move against me immediately. He never gave the name of his company and this number only played music before going to his voicemail. I feel as though this is a scam.

Concerned: What you wrote is down right laughable. Can you imagine a real business man calling from a golf tournament and also not having your account in front of him. What a story and of course it is a scam.
We got a call from them this afternoon but thank goodness my husband didn't answer. He easily gets caught up in scams because he has dementia.
