Who called from 4804090170

FRAUD!!!!!!!!

Just got a text from [email protected]  It read that you credit card has been placed on hold due to fraudulent activity. Then gave me 480-409-0170 to call. First thing it wanted was my 16 digit card number, WTH.

Received a text stating, "We have detected unusual activity on your account. Call Customer Service 4804090170" on 2/3/13 6:34 pm CST.  Call originator was [email protected].  Did not call the number because I figured any reputable company would have a toll free 1-800 number for Customer Service.  Call area code is AZ.

Received a text from [email protected] to call 480-409-0170 regarding suspicious activity on my account.  Called twice only reaching busy signal.  Thanks for the previous complaints written here...I can delete the fraud.

I got this same text on my cell phone ALSO on Feb 4. Mine listed "Proponent Credit Union" I am not a member there so knew was fraud. From my home phone I called the 480# and yes, it asked for my 16 digit credit card inof. (Yeah right). I called Proponent the next day. They said is scam - had a lot of calls. Seemed related to cell phones. I have Verizon. Curious - you others who got this message - who is your cell phone provider?
