Annoying call from this scumbag caller. Try this when you get a call from one of these magazine sellers...As soon as you identify the caller via Caller ID, press * & # alternately for 10 to 20 times and then press the TALK button while continuing to press * & # multiple times. I found that this apparently confuses the Caller's System and kicks your number out of Mr Scumbag's list - worked for me on other similar calls.
Called back. It seems to be a magazine telemarketing company. I added their number to my Extreme Call Blocker (an app for the Droid phones) and blacklisted it. That way if/when they call back, they'll get a very annoying high-pitch "pretender" audio file! Oh, I love that app!
Very interesting. I JUST applied for my DEA #....and now I get a scam call? What does this say about our system? Someone who works for the DEA is either selling our data...or the system is hacked.
I'm reporting it to the DEA...fat good that's going to do us.
