Called 9:10 am on Sunday. 2nd call in a week. Rings three times and hangs up. I wonder if this us part of the Republican Party push to get votes? We are registered to other parties. A Phoenix newspaper article warned about all these calls coming up until elections. Well, no answering machine, do not know your number, no pick up, no problem. Go find another sucker!
I received two calls from this number this week. One on Wednesday that I did not answer and the second on Sunday morning. The caller ID said "Wireless Caller" so I thought it was a friend from work who lives in that area code. I called back and a man answered and said just "hello". I asked for my friend and the voice said "Thank you for calling back, this is the Fraternal Order of Police" and I hung up.
My phone rang when I was not at home on Sunday, April 13th, at 12:14 p.m. Caller ID just said PHOENIX, AZ and the number. I know no one in Phoenix and would not have answered even if I were at home. I have received calls from this so-called Fraternal Order of Police many times and have reported them to the Arizona Attorney General's Consumer Protection Division as a fraudulent "charity" that does nothing to help any police department.
Our local PD has warned the public about this scam several times over the years.
