Received call from 480.447.3086, I answered the person said they are Roland from the IRS and I owe $35,000 from my 2010 tax return. If I pay today the IRS will accept $7,500. All they need is my SS# and bank routing information. I laughed and said first of all IRS would not call, second would not disclose amount owed and third offer a settlement. Roland said this is the new more responsive IRS and doing business this way they save tax payers millions of dollars. Again I said I do not believe you. He stated if I do not agree to this now, IRS agents will be dispatched immediately with a warrant for my arrest. I said please do and I reminded Roland he never once asked or said my name so how can he issue a warrant. Roland hung up.
