They keep calling at times when I don't answer they call back to back without leaving a voicemail. My husband has a common name and they say this is from a pay day loan back from 2006 for $250. That they are in the process of bringing charges against him. We have told them it is not his debt. They will not resist he tries to hang up and they don't give up he hung up on them and they called and called now they call many times during the day.
Received call after call from this number, finally I answered and they said there investigating on me, then said, "you don't know about this?!"
I said no and hung up.
I got a call from this number (480-499-5142) as well. A man named Paul Johnson left me a message saying he's contacting me because I have charges and a claim against me..and then left a number for me to call (855-645-8012) when I called it is a company called Global Litigation which if you google them, you'll see they are nothing more than a SCAM company trying to get money from people supposedly for "an old unpaid debt". Global Litigation is currently being investigated by the FBI. If you look under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act; when they call all you need to do is tell them not to call you again and further they can't contact your employer...these practices are illegal and if they do so again they will hear from your attorney.
