I received a call from this number on 3/1/2013 wanting information about my credit cards. I told the caller to wait while I got my records, set down the phone by the TV, and let him listen to Fox News for an hour. My number is listed on the Do Not Call List but this seems to mean nothing to these guys so I decided to waste their time.
When I said the person with whom they wanted to speak wasn't available, he was perfectly happy to solicit me instead. When I deduced this was not an attempt to collect a debt but a company wanting to help settle ANY debt I asked to have my phone number removed from their system. He got very angry and asked how I had the authority to do this. I said, the law. I hung up on him when he made it clear he didn't agree that I had the right to have them remove my number from their bank.
My husband died two months ago and this company just called our home - asking for him. This is the kind of thing that has to be stopped. A spouse who is left behind has too much to sift through to find out what is legitimate and what is not.

I just received a phone call from this number today, 1 March 2013. The woman on the other end of the line had a thick Indian accent. She said that they had information collected from a survey about my credit card date; and, that before she continued, she wanted to make sure I'm not behind on my payments.
When I questioned her about how she got my personal financial information, she got rude with me and said that "the marketing department collected this information from a survey". I asked how they could collect my personal information from my credit card company without my permission and she responded that I "had completed the survey". I said that I did not fill out any survey concerning my finances. She hung up.
I tried to call the number back but I get a message that the number I have dialed is not in service or is assigned to a different area code.
This is definitely a scam of some sort. He asked for a person who does not live here anymore. We are on the do not call list but obviously this is not working. So annoying...
