thay let phone ring 2or3 times then hang up

i called the number thy said fundraiser for public safety in your state want monies

This jerk won't let up.  I have caller ID so now I will just block him. He tried to make him think he was a Police Officer.  
AZFOP which means Arizona Fraternal Order of Police.

This jerk only asks for (my wife's first name here) and then repeats it back to her. Whenever she tries to talk to him, or if I her husband get on the line, he immediately hangs up. He wants us to THINK he's from the AZ FOP, but this thing has the feel of a seriously disturbed crackpot who has a fetish for my wife's voice. - -  When you call him back, a recording says "Thank you for calling The Fundraising Information Center. We tried to contact you earlier with a message from a Public Safety Association in your State ..."

Unknow number, this call came in, did'nt answer, assumed it was a telemarketer.
