The caller had my name and year and make of my car, and said, "I'm calling from the vehicle protection divisions", to which I replied "Division of what?" The telemarketer hung up.

The caller "Sean" also had our names and our car information, claiming from our car dealership. When I called back, the answer was "this number is not in service". I called our car dealer and they told me they did not call us today.
These guys keep calling my number. When you ask them exactly who they are with, they say "Vehicle Protection Systems, we sell the warranty policies authorized by auto manufacturers." then go straight to "So to verify, are you the owner of [year][make][model]". They talk over you... I've asked several times to take me off their list and they still call.
The same thing happened as previous posts. They said they needed to verify some information and update my file which would be closed and I wouldn't have any vehicle coverage if I didn't provide certain information. I couldn't give them the exact mileage on my car and they got quite irate and rude. I asked several questions about the nature of their business and why I was being called if I already had extended warranty coverage through the dealership. Last I asked about the cost of what they were selling. They said it was their protocol to get other information first. I asked again. They actually hung up on me!! Ha. Don't scan me, I'm not telling you anything!
