Scam by "Metro Courier" aka Metro Delivery - leaves door tag saying "Sorry we missed you - call to reschedule." Whatever you do, don't call. Better to call the police about burglary potential, or the attorney general's office about these con artists.
I got one on my door today 1-13-11. I tried to call, but it was after 5. I live out in the Rancho Sub Div. of Maricopa.. Looks like the jacka^&!* are hitting us out here too.
Got a door tag on my door in the Buckeye area with the date of 1/12 and my last name with my initial it says sorry we missed you, please call to reschedule. Phoenix Metro: 480.776.5091 with a confirmation number. Have no idea what this is about. Just learned via a website this is a way that a house maybe marked for determining its occupancy for staking out a robbery attempt.
got the "notice" last Friday in Maricopa. I was home, no one rang the bell so I don't know how they could be "casing" the house for burglary. I rent and the tag was made out to the homeowner who has never lived here.
I think they are getting the homeowners name via the Pinal County recorders office. Not hard just put the address in and the owners name comes up.
The conf.# is probably a trace number for the salesman.
