Called minutes ago. Caller ID said Onstar. I answered with our company name twice, nothing. Answaer was triggered when I said "hello". Sounded like a call center so I just hung up.
Called my phone this morning; couldn't hear anything at first but rapid Spanish, and a lot of noise in the background that made me think "call center." As soon as I said hello again, she started in with some spiel that required her to loudly talk over the noise in the background, but made it incredibly difficult to understand her.
"Good morning, ma'am, I'm [name] and I'm calling about [garbled] from 'business [garbled].'"
It may be she was speaking this way so that one couldn't understand her before she got her spiel out, who knows. Googling this number shows me no company / website association.
First time call from this number, something about healthcare plan for my family. Sounded like a call center, could hardly understand the woman speaking as she studdered and stammered so much.
Call center generated telemarketing scam for some type of business health insurance. Like I'm really going to purchase health insurance from a cold-calling telemarketer with serious pronunciation issues competing with the background chatter of a call center. Asked the caller where she was located. Her response: "Atlanta, Georgia." However, my caller ID indicated an Arizona area code (480) with no business name attached. Apparently, this operation is also spoofing their caller identify to give the impression it is a local call.
