I received a phone call from this number 1-484-223-2990. They said they were collecting money for the Reading Police department ball (PARTY)! Every year I tell them not to call me especially when you call them to report a crime and they no longer have time to do their jobs! I pay taxes to pay them to do their job and then they have the balls to ask for money to have a party. Why are they celebrating Reading PA is the most dangerous city in the united states!
After an awkward pause, the caller asked for my husband by first name in a very low tone. I asked who is calling. The caller said "Jim", so I asked "What is this regarding". The called sarcastically said "I didn't realize this would be an interrogation!". Then the caller hung up.
This company collects money for local police and fire, they do not respect the do not call list, and what they do collect, 75% or so they keep and pass on the balance. They will continue to call once you make a small donation.
