I live in the Huntingdon area and I actually answered his call. The man said he was from a fire fighter associations and wanted me to make a $25 donation. I'm going to just say it, I think it was a scammer!

Looks like a scam.  Caller ID says it is from Whitehall PA, which is in the Pittsburgh area and would be a 412 area code if it were legit.

This was a call from Xentel - a paid professional fundraiser - collecting for PPFFA - PA Professional Firefighters Association. I talked to a friend of mine who works for a local firehouse, and they do not receive any funds from this group. He recommended I donate directly to the local firehouse instead of an organization like this. I cannot find any info on BBB charity site on PPFFA either.
