They called my Home phone number. When no one answered, they somehow got my cell phone number. They were talking about some electric company. I couldn't totally hear them. When I asked how they got my cell phone number, they hung up.
They have been calling for weeks. Normally multiple times a day. The majority are robo hang up calls. When there is actually la live person on the other end, I tell them that I am not interested and to take me off their call list. Each and every time, they hang up on me. I called the number back. Their is an option to have your number removed from their database. They have ignored those requests as well. They have called a total of 5 times the past 2 days. Three times were hang ups. Today I spoke to two live CSRS. Both promptly hung up when I told them to leave me alone already. I am not interested in switching energy providers. I have never had any contact with the company in the past. Even though it was illegal to cold call in the first place, they calls should have immediately stopped the initial time they were told to remove my number from their database. I have filed complaints with the BBB and FTC.
