Just got this call at 9:08 pm (after legal calling hours) - same deal - just a beep - no one there- shouted very loudly - will be calling tomorrow to report to Unlawful Call Center - this line is provided by Commonwealth or Frontier Communications- should all call and report
I got a call from 1-484-248-0120 I was always getting calls so about 2 years ago I got sprint privacy, call rejection and I am on the do not call list this worked quite well, no more annoying calls (TILL )I started ordering off line. I think this helped get this call from the once again a annoying number. so I believe they got something going on that is computer gennerated. When I give out my cell I never get call on it. Maybe they don,t want to use up all their minutes. I,m going to finally go all cell...... OR AM I??? THINK about that for a minute. How many times do you see cell phone adds online? Me I see them about all the time. I never actually accuse anyone... but could the shoe just fit.... I was expecting a call from a doctor. The phone rang and I said Hello. Sprint privacy came on and said I had to accept or reject the call I could hear what I believe to be a office noise and thought maybe the doctor just didn,t want or know how to use the sprint privacy, so I pressed 1 which meant I accepted the call, then the call was allowed through I was just left saying Hello Hello Heelllllllllo then I thought maybe the doctor didnt think I was answering, sometimes it takes a secound when you accept a call and hung up so I called the doctor back and it was not him. I just blew it off,went about the day. I asked my husband if he knew the number and he said to look up 484 area code that is when I was a little surprised to see so many other people on this site had recieved the same call I don,t very often write on these but I just had to tell my side . ALSO as someone else wrote when I also tried to call it back it said that the voice box was full and it couldn,t accept a message. Gee as I was looking around this site I saw a add on here for a smart phone? I have yet to find anyone that will do anything for annoying calls. I even reported to the Attorney Generals Office NOTHING SORRY for the 1st one summited
The Do Not Call list doesn't "filter" calls, it's only a list of numbers that are generally illegal to call. Telemarketers can still call the number as long as it's a working number. They just break the law when they do it. When calls originate from outside the U.S., use readily available software to hide their identity, display false caller ID information or any number of other ways to call illegally, it's almost impossible to determine the source of the call. They can't be arrested if police can't find them.
