05/11/15 @ 11:56 AM recording stating I am eligible for rate reduction for my utilities…press 1 to received press 8 to get off calling list., oh my I hope I did not go wrong with pressing 8. I am on Do not call list and I still get tons of calls WHY???????
Called today @ 11:40am (eastern). Left no msg. and I did NOT pick up. On the bright side, if they continue to use "ObamaCare", I imagine they will get some...interesting responses when the angry/unwary pick up. :)
I just got a call from "Obamacare" at 4:40pm. It was a utility company wanting to offer a price deal if I switched to their supplier. Since I never answered, I have no idea what ridiculous company would use Obamacare to front for some utility company deal.
this type of call is about saving on the electric bill...the thing is, the caller ID says Obamacare. I'm on a Do NOt call list, federal and PA and it makes no difference, they will call anyway and route the call so you can never track them if you file a complaint. You have 3 options that I know of to block these calls and none are perfect. 1- If you use a phone system such as Panasonic, you can enter the # and block it that way. the # of calls depends on the system 2- If you have cable, your provider may offer a blocking feature, mine allows 10 number at a time. 3- you can purchase a little call blocking box where you can enter the number there. The total numbers are much greater. This box I have does not always accept the last incoming # and even though it's blocked, it still rings once... Thinking again, on a land line, you may have a call block feature by entering * something to reject the last call so .... take your pick...I once got a call and the caller ID said I was calling myself. We all know you can't call yourself and a ring, only a busy signal so don't get frustrated, screen your calls...my ringer is set for 2 rings. If it's someone I want to talk to and I don't get to it in time, I'll call them back. These people always change up the numbers so you'll never stop them.
