Caller ID was "Dir Assist PA". A man asked for me by name and then tried to sell me a flue inspection for $49. I said I wasn't interested and asked to be removed from their call list. He hung up on me.
Even if I would buy something from a cold caller I wouldn't buy from someone using a phony name and fake number. (There are no numbers starting with "555" so that movies and television shows can use that prefix without fear of it ever belonging to a real person.)

The caller id just said Pennsylvania. Caller asks for me by name and then they say they will be in the area for chimney cleanings. I tell them to please remove me from their list and then they get mad and hang up.
directory assistance on caller ID. Chimney cleaning service. Number blocked. I love my phone, can block up to 150 numbers! When I run out there I understand Panasonic has an answering machine that blocks up to 1500. Will definitely be looking for that one!
