these a-holes called me at 8:58pm on a Sunday night as I am tucking my kids in for school the next day! Are you effin serious I asked the lady on the phone?!! She called and asked for my husband by his nickname, on my phone. When I asked who it was and what it was in regards to, she went into her Breast Cancer Donation spiel. I told her she was rude and crazy and to remove me from her list. I am on the DNC registry first of all, second, it's a SUNDAY at 8:58pm!!! I am pretty sure they are not even a legit charity and are scammers! I am following up with formal complaint to the PA Attorney General Office and anywhere else I can take this. I am pissed! Thanks for irritating this exhausted mom!
The DNC does not apply here. And unless your in Oregon, that is the only state DNC that I am aware of that does not allow charity calls. Charities, along with some Survey's and Political calls, are exempt from the DNC, however, they can still get into trouble for not placing you on a internal DNC when asked, you can also check your states laws in regards. Some states have different laws in regards to the calls, which can differ from the federal.
Do consider maybe getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $40.00 or less. If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.

Called my CELLPHONE (isn't that illegal)??? I get so many calls like this (IRS lawsuit scams, your computer has a virus scams, change your electric supplier spams, reduce your credit card debt b.s., etc etc) on my landline I have had to buy a callblocker plus I have to keep the ringer turned off on every phone in the house. When is some gov't agency going to do something about this and protect the citizens from this constant harassment and targeting by thieves? It is so bad it is not even worth the trouble of paying for a phone anymore.
I just got called by this number. when I googled it it came up as being from Allentown/Bethlwhem PA where I use to live. Itried to call it back but not workable. glad to see the above info. thanks! obvioiusly a scam!
