I received a call with a message with verification numbers but no idea what for and why

Same here! I also got an sms from 99999 which said: Whatsapp: and then another code. What is this?

I received a call from this site and a computer generated voice kept repeating a confirmation number.
Afterwards I noticed a text from whatsapp which I do not use, have never signed up for, and did not look into.
With the teeny purchase of what'sapp by Facebook this makes me concerned for my personal privacy and device security.

I'm from Spain and I've just received a text message from 99999 with a code for Whatsapp, and later I received a call from this phone number.

So did I.
