Any ID number that you do not recognize is probably a scammer. Even if they say they are calling on behalf of a charitable organization, be very careful and assume it's fraud unless your extensive research shows otherwise. I would never give any organization money that calls me on my phone-scammers are everywhere. They've been successful so that's why it goes on and on.....
Caller ID "WIRELESS CALLER". I picked up only because my husband has been very ill, and I thought it might be a call from one of the visiting nurses about a visit tomorrow. The man gave a name, ADDRESSED ME BY MY NAME, and stated he was calling for the "Bethlehem Area Firefighters." No such organization on the web, I see. Anyway, I hung up, as it was an unsolicited call from an unidentified number at 9 PM, so -- likely not legit.
