Funny I haven't seen this number reported in this forum, if indeed it is a real number or someone spoofing my area code to look 'local'. This number calls me incessantly on my Google Voice number, which I've given out to only a few known companies and friends and of course is DNC. The really annoying part is I usually get two calls either simultaneously or within seconds. If I don't answer, they leave a 3-second silent message.
I chose to answer one call, some kind of survey/quiz for veterans issues. Questions that don't have a really good answer, like "did you know that xx million vets are (whatever)?", and goes on. NO I don't know those exact numbers, and it seems whether I answer yes or no, they are trying to elicit pity, and eventually I'm sure, money.
As sympathetic as I may be to veterans (my dad is still kicking from WW II), I'm hardly about to give money over a cold call, what proof is there it isn't simply a scammer? Who would DO that? Anyway, I pressed for a bit more detail and he hurriedly mentioned PUTVETSFIRST.ORG. I surfed there and it seems to be a PAC for veterans affairs, perhaps worthy enough. But I found nothing on the site about actually giving donations, so I have to wonder, is this a quasi-legitimate caller representing the organization, or a scammer sucking off the good will of a seemingly honorable site. Still no way would I divulge personal or CC info to an incoming call.
Since I did this bit of research, next time they called I asked NOT to be called again. Did that work? Maybe for a week, got 2 more calls today.

Called introduced himself as Jason and said he was calling about my recent application for social security disability benefits...I said No I didn't inquire about that at all...a beep was heard like he was recording it and then proceeded to say Ok we are going to confirm your information...I hung up. number was 484-798-0940. When I dialed back it told me that it was National Disability and that their records indicate I have already spoken with one of their agents and did not qualify. I hung up and dialed again and Message told me two options 1 to inquire and 2 to be placed on the do not call register...I am concerned that someone was submitting information in my name. how do I find out.
