This pest began calling just a few days ago. On one call Wednesday, I picked up, out of curiosity -- it is a local number. The caller ID is "BETHLEHEM PA".  I thought maybe a friend was calling from a cell phone i was not familiar with. A female voice and accent out of rap music -- not at all common in Bethlehem -- said my husband had asked for auto insurance quotes. I said I doubted that, as he is satisfied with his insurance agent he has done business with for many years. She quoted me his first name and his email address. I told her he was not home and she hung up. There were other voices in the background, like a typical call center. I asked my husband, he did not knowingly ask for auto insurance quotes on the internet. I guess he could have inadvertently hit a button on some web site he was visiting, but most likely, he did not. Obviously something fishy here. The number and caller ID could be spoofed to make it appear like a local call, I guess. They have kept on calling since, once a day, but we have not picked up.
