I just got this call from Allentown, PA. Funny though I couldn't hear the beginning part of the spiel - the voice said sorry I got the wrong number while the answering machine message kicked in - and then didn't leave a message. So my experience is similar to John Q Public. Which basically is saying this wasn't a wrong number but spam all the way. And once the caller realized he wasn't getting anywhere, said he must have 'got the wrong number' and didn't actually leave a message. So I'm saying prank.
Prank because it can't be an energy switch, and a medical claims department at the same time. And, I believe I have gotten energy switch calls from other cities in PA. I have also gotten a computer scam call from Allentown, PA.
The bogus calls for Energy Switch are just too numerous to list they call at least twice a week if not more.
If just city and state are in the ID it is probably a bogus call.
Just wanted to add that on page two of the number search this came up:
"Oct 6, 2016 - Electricity SCAMMERS on 484-891-1722!! Offering to reduce your bills, but actually they phish for your CREDIT CARD NUMBERS! BEWARE!"
So it is still a prank. These folks aren't even real telemarketers.
