That's a common problem for all answering services. The company you work for should have a procedure in place to handle these kinds of evasive callers, planned with the people these evasive callers are trying to reach.
One method is to "reluctantly" transfer the caller to an extension set up for "alex" where "alex" has spoken the outgoing message for the voice mail, and "alex" can call in and access that extension to retrieve any voice mail. But I doubt this particular caller would leave any voice mail.
These people continue to call at my employment and ask for a alex, tell them every time,he's not available and could i take message,and they reply,no, i'll try back again!!! This has been going on and has been annoying me and now, it's harassment!! I will have to continue logging these calls!! This person continues to phone harass me at my job, and these calls are interfereing with very important information getting through to me. I always tell him that he needs to leave a message because i am a answering service,as i only take messages and then i forward them.He refuses to leave his name,who he is with,or a reachable number.
