Evidently, if you don't fill out the medicare part of your federal income taxes correctly, IRS gives out your information to the marketplace to let them know you are looking for insurance. I thought I filled out mine correctly, but I have been inundated by calls.
Medical scam. I picked up and just listened. Heard a bunch of Gupta [***] that floated into this country on wooden doors chattering amongst themselves.
I've had my number for over a decade and never got telemarketing calls until I went on the Indeed.com job board and posted my resume. Ever since then, I've got 1-5 calls everyday, from all different numbers, and they are all medicare related schemes. They are phishing for numbers on job boards now.
