The company is in Orlando, FL but the number that showed up on my cell phone was my area code and also showed it was coming from a cell phone. They did not leave a message. I called the number back but had blocked my number before hand. A machine answered saying it was ERC and that calls were monitored for QC. Then there was nothing but silence on the line. I figured since they could not get my number their system did not know what to do with the call. I have never heard of them before this call and am sure I don't owe them anything.  

They should not be allowed to fake phone numbers to make it look like they are calling from your area or someone you may know. Also, there is a site I found on some bad business practices that they do regarding trying to collect money from people who don't have debts. Watch out for these folks!
