The frauds count on your guilt to loosen your purse. There is no shame in turning away an alleged cause group you cannot verify which hires a call center to read you scripted lies. If anyone should feel guilt it's the alleged charities and their commercial fundraisers who pile up your earnest donations to finance mainly their own lavish parties, luxury cars, summer McMansions, kitchen makeovers, sports arenas, and of course call center expansions.

Computerized message for Disabled Sheriff's Association - these robocalls are from paid commercial operators that take 99 cents of every dollar raised for their expenses. Doubtful if the other penny ends up in any real charity's hands. I no longer consider any phone solicitations reputable.
So many phone scams. ID says local so why isn't the area code local? I will give to the charities that I choose not the ones that keep calling even though have been told to be removed from list.
