Emergency Medical Alert System thing. Said the system shows it's already been paid for because someone has fallen in the past at my location. Press 1 to have shipped. Totally bogus call & some kinda scam.
Number is a Hot Springs, AR number not Little Rock, AR...
Answered the phone seeing it was a Hot Springs number - we have friends there. A voice said "HELP ME, I'VE FALLEN AND I CAN'T GET UP." Alarmed me at first until I realized it was nothing more than a call to install a medical alert system. This is a real turn-off; I would never allow this company's product in my house.
Called here. Left no message. Always check here on "out of area" calls before even the possibility of answering. Thanks for the info.
One possible factor. We were at one time (no more) on the "call list" for a parent who had a "life alert" type system at their house. Sounds like they are using that list/selling that list to try and get new customers. Annoying at the least.
If I knew where the calls came from I would burn the building down. DO NOT CALL is a joke and scam on the tax paying citizen. The lazy [***] do NOTHING.
