Hung up-surely another illegal scam that phone companies won't get off their assets and stop. They are renting or tapping into a line and programming it to show as an ID when they call you. Some security!!
I have been getting these calls on my work phone from random numbers, random states, and they always hang up. This one was from Benton AR so since I live there, I thought it may be someone I know. But they hung up as soon as I answered, like all of the others. I get these calls 5-10 times a day on my work phone.
They called, and when I answered, it went to a recording that acted as if I called THEM and told me to hold for the next available associate or whatever.
