Collection agency for very very old payday loan that I owed and didn't pay. If I didn't pay it 5 years ago, I'm not gonna pay it now. They left the phone number 866-234-3455 on my voice mail.
I recently moved and had to give up my old telephone number. Since then I have been getting daily phone calls from the above number as well as a whole slew of others. It is a collection agency. They call numerous times and as late as 10:00 pm. They leave a recorded message for some person I've never heard of but they won't answer when I pick up the receiver. I have put my number on the National Do Not Call Registry for all the good it will do. Companies like this know that the don't call registry is a joke at best. The FCC or any other government jurisdiction will never lift a finger to try to enforce an unenforceable law. Only in America do hard working, honest people who live within their means and who don't contract debts they cannot repay, have to endure with this sort of incessant torment from unscrupulous businesses which are at least abetted by an incompetent and incapable government. Incompetence is the worst form of corruption.
This number keeps calling saying I took a payday loan 7 years ago and I know I did not have the account that they keep saying the money went into so i told them to provide me with the paperwork (and still no paperwork yet) so what a joke.
