Caller claimed to be Ms Johnson with Nouvelle Financial. Caller had my cell phone number from a prior user more than three months old. Caller was rude and unresponsive when I returned the call to clear up the problem. When I tried to inform the caller future calls would be forwarded to the attorney general as harrassment I was cut off. I attempted to call four times, each call was received with hostility and was hung up abruptly.
A person named Mr. Carper called and said that my name and phone number had been given as a reference by Mr. X (in-law - family member). I've not seen the in-law in years and told him that Mr. X doesn't live here.
He asked whenever I saw him, to give him the number 1-877-688-3555 extension 11167. I wrote it down but knew I'd never see the person again. I presumed this was a collection agency trying to make a buck.
Nuvell called me to find someone we know. The person they wanted had given us as references. They do not call to aggravate..only when a payment is late or if they can't find someone who has given you as a reference and is late with payment.
