They look up anyone with the same last name living in the same area and call them asking about the location of the person who owes them. They claim this person listed you as a reference or contact person. They're just hoping you know them and can tell them where the person lives to collect a debt.
Left a voicemail. Only left a first name of the caller asking me to call them concerning John (and my last name). I don't know a John... hahaha
They do have my name. Considering I have had procedures done lately, I feel someone has sold my info.
Received a call from 949-536-8481 and then from 501-821-8351. I did not answer but the same woman left a voice mail saying she needed to speak to Rose MacCabe about her husband Stephen. I've had this phone number for over 10 years but I do remember receiving calls for this person, Rose, when I first got the number. The woman's voice mail said to call her back at 866-891-8876. Probably a debt collector but there is no reason for them to call a telephone number that I've had for over 10 years. BLOCKED ALL 3 OF THESE TELEPHONE NUMBERS.
I received a call from (501) 821-8351, The woman, Jamie, left a voicemail, stating that she needed to speak with me regarding my brother (though she did not call him my brother--she just used his first and last name). This is most likely a scam, and you should ignore any calls from this number.
