Just got a call telling me, I have downloaded mal-ware....the call did not come from where I bought my computer...or my internet service provider. And my security program had just successfully scanned my computer, it's fine. He couldn't tell me anything about my computer, security program, service provider......or even what I had downloaded that was carrying the virus....

I just received a phone call from this fellow telling me that I have mal-ware in my computer. I knew it was a scam when he asked me to give him access to my computer via the Internet. They told me to diable my virus checker and firewall so they could check..
They called me saying he was a Microsoft tech and he was getting reports from my windows computers, saying its report viruses and malware., that my phone number is tied to the network i am on..
I told him he was an idiot who couldn't speak English, I run Linux so how the hell could you determine my "windows" computers were reporting that .... he hung up immediately
I received two phone calls from this number. Both callers did not speak English well. They kept insisting I got to my computer and they would direct me how to remove the Gen 5 Virus from my computer. I asked to speak to a supervisor. Another person came on the phone with the same story and same demands. She had my cell phone number, state of residence but the wrong address. When pressed for more info they hung up.
