Hi Qwerty, thank you for your information...this never happened to me before and i am so worried now that someone might had access to my ss...i hung up on her cause she was so so rude...and she called me on my work phone were do these ppl get all these information from?
Hey all i just got a call yesterday from the lady and some guy. 1st mistakebshe made was she told me about my Facebook info, in which a red flag popped in my mind ....2nd she wouldnt give me the name of the payday loan, saying that its against the law. Ive spoken with many debt collectors and such, they never tell you such things........ On the back end she overtalked me and kept on after each rebutal i gave her. She slipped up and told on herself by saying she was trained in making ppl pay them....i just hung up the phone. Also she told me the amount was for 1185, what payday loan place is gonn a give you that much? (none)...... Also, even if i had got that much it would not have taken 6 years for them to get it. I hope this helps someone. Stupud scammmers, they have to disclose the information of the original debt....... All the real debt collectors do.
Total Scam. Don't feel pressure into paying. I have been getting these calls from these scammers for about 6 weeks now. I just block them, but they continue to get new phone numbers. They claimed I owed a payday loan from 2011, the new my email from 2011, my address from 2011 and also my bank account in 2011. I was scared too but did my homework - if you owed this debt it would be on your credit report, get a credit karma account and always check your credit report. If it is not on there - don't worry about it. I also contacted the bank I had in 2011 - they told me it was probably a claim. The scammers claimed I had made two payments back then but stopped paying. The bank I had was able to go through my transaction even though my account was closed and they said I was fine, the account was closed and untouched. These are trained disgusting scammers. Do your homework, do not panic. If you decide to answer the phone ask for their first and last name, the company name and address, if the refuse to give ya the info, let go and move on with your day.
