Received call - started with "Hey! This is Josh, from Customer Service, can you hear me ok?" I responded, "Yes" - he then launched into how I've been selected to receive a free vacation... "No, no, no...this call is done."
There are countless scams and they like to set up "local" area code calls so that while it is a strange number, folks are more likely to pick up the phone. Unfortunately, it is still a scam. I input these into my addressbook of the phone so that I never pick up that caller again. It also makes it easier for you to determine who to sue later on if you get a law firm to pursue the scammers.
Everyone needs to get onto the state and national NO CALL LIST and this can help you if you have to sue later on. It shows that these scammers are abusing your rights.
Grrr I got caught - I thought this was a familiar number,so I didn't google this number first, and picked up - it was a robocall, "Lisa" from the "Green Study Survey Company".
Hung up and will be blocking the number. Grrr again. It looks like I need to let EVERY incoming call go to the answering machine.
How long will these scammers be interrupting our days?! I'm so sick and tired of paying for a phone I don't dare answer.
