I got a call from "private number" today. I heard you shouldn't call them back, as it is a scam. I can't remember where I read it, but it said if you call them back, you can't report them as disobeying the "Do Not Call" policy because you called them.
Just some FYI. I would go to the Gov't website if you have been placed on Do Not Call list, and get more info. Well, the "Do Not Call" website that is. :)
Have gotten several calls over the past two or so months from this "private" caller. No message is ever left. Don't know anyone from Louisville and I'm in TN. I Assume this # to be phone spam!
I have gotten two calls from this number within a week. The first time I didn't answer the phone but the number appeared on my caller ID. Since I don't know anyone in Louisville I didn't bother to waste money by calling them back. I just got another call from this same number and answered the phone. A woman on the other end asked for Mrs. Ellen. I proceeded to tell her my first name is Ellen but there is no Mrs. Ellen. She then quietly hung up. I called the number back and got a message to leave a message and then either hit the # sign or hang up. I can only assume it's a telemarketer or someone looking for trouble. I have now blocked that number and reported it to both the phone company and the Louisville police dept.
