Someone calls from this number at least four times a day. IF I do answer, they will not talk to me, they ask for my husband. I tell them to stop calling and they yell things at me, like to pound sand, or right here and slam down phone. Between at least ten other callers every single day, I am going crazy. I need it to stop. Most of the time, i don't answer, but they never stop. We are older, and have to get up and look at the caller ID. I have ignored important medical calls. They call too early in the am and too late in the pm. ID says FAV.
This supposed charity has called for months using 502-792-9718 and we blocked it. They called this evening using 502-286-6425 and I blocked our number and called back. Lo and behold it was the Foundation for American Veterans. Do not answer these calls. Bunch of scammers.
Answered and I believe I spoke to a voice responsive recording as it didn't recognize a female voice had answered the phone. It said "David?"
and when I said no it said no message will call back later. I recognize this as the Foundation for American Veterans that used to call on a different number. These people raise money pretty much for themselves. Beware!!'
Worse than scumbags. Just barely legit. Taking advantage of Veterans. Only 10%, that's right, a measly 10%, goes to veterans. Rest is overhead. Think lavish salaries, business expenses, etc. while the vet suffers with lack of body parts, mental issues, no jobs, or homelessness. They won't give their financials to the Better Business Bureau. Put’em out of business.
