State Trooper collecting. Asked for me by name. I believe this is a scam charity operation. Phones all the time. Have told them countless times not to phone.
Solicitation for police--or so they say. Even if legit, these "professional fundraisers" keep 85% or so for their "expenses & operating costs". I wouldn't give them a nickel.
I have gotten several calls from this number. I keep telling them I'm disabled and cannot afford to send money. And that I will not send cash thru the mail. They continue to call and I've requested they stop calling. Now they call and hang up. So tired of this form of bullying it needs to stop.
The Federal Do Not Call List is is quite effective in preventing calls from legitimate telemarketers. So, if you are on the list, and get a call from a "telemarketer", what does that tell you?
Can you spell "illegitimate"? Maybe "spammer" is better? How about "scammer"?
Can you conceptualize "call blocker"? Get one! Be self-sufficient! Google is your friend.
