Fund Raiser! Don't Answer unless you have lots of $ to give away...If you make the mistake and answer they won't let you off the phone without long blah,blah,blah... wanting money that's not tax deductible. I can't say with complete certainty, but I believe groups like this buy peoples phone numbers from companies or social groups and drive us crazy with call after call wanting money for everything from cancer research to birth defects. I prefer to give locally so I know my money isn't going to some scam. I wouldn't answer and defiantly would't give my credit/debit card info to them, which is what they ask for, for their payment method.
I've been getting calls from this number. I finally broke-down and redialed it. It was one of those telemarketing-high pressure fundraiser groups. I hung up. Every time one of these groups calls me and I mistakenly answer they won't let you go. They start out trying to make you feel sorry for their cause with a long statement that last like-forever, then hit you with a suggestion of a $200. donation and your credit card number without even asking you if you agree with the cause or amount. Really!!!! I thought it was my money to decide on. They will dicker with you all day until you agree to no less than $25 and after that they turn around and hit you up for another $15 for a different cause they too are involved with... Oh' well I finally got smart and took my husbands advise and hung up. It's so sad that you can't help those in need for jerks like this. Who can we trust? We work too hard to throw money away on fraudulent solicited callers. The lack of morals in the world nowadays.
I have told this machine to stop calling my number that I was going to report it to local police dept. They called four times today May 27,2012.I am tired of this.I have reported this to the phone co,and they said they were going to file a complaint agaiinst the number.
Most of the time I just let it ring.If I wan t some sleep I just unplugged the phone system.I feel like a prisoner in my own home.I am 77 yearrs old an do not needthis in my life what is left of it.
*60 on my phone and I can block the number. Just follow he directions. Give it a try. I can block up to 10 numbers, I block them for several days or weeks until my list is full, then delete those and add the new numbers that have called.
