I just got a call from this number, on my cell phone, from a foreign accented man saying he was with Windows technical support and he noticed I had several fatal errors on my computer and wanted me to log into my computer and let him fix these above mentioned errors. I told him I was a Senior software engineer and that I knew he was trying to hack my computer and that I was not stupid and to remove my number from his call list. He assured me he was not trying to hack my computer and I screamed into his ear (as loud as I could) I'M NOT STUPID. Well he said Oh and hung up. Funniest call of my day...other than telling the first caller that I didn't even own a computer.
I got a call from this number... It's registered to a place called Boy's Haven, but the call was some Pakistani man trying to gain access to my computer. Now, I'm way too smart for that, but curious how they were able to call and use that number as an identifier, when it was clearly not Boy's Haven that was calling!
Please note that I'm selecting Telemarketer, but it was a scam call trying to get me to allow access, and you don't have a scam option on the list.
Received a call from this number saying there were with Dell Support, suspecting a scam, I asked for a name, company and callback number and was hung up on. I selected "Unknown" however I believe it was a phishing phone call trying to gain access to my computer - my advice is to not give them any information and report the phone# to Dell and Microsoft as their databases may have been hacked to get your number.
Good Afternoon,
This is a scam they calling asking you to download something to your computer saying they were a Windows technician. I asked for call back and information which he was trying to side step the question, and because my phone is a company phone with special safety and backtracking software for security reasons, i was able to tell the gentleman his exact location and i asked why they were running a call server through Kentucky when they were located in Pakistan using a false number. The dude freaked out yelled something at me than screamed and hung up. Pretty funny call... if they say they a windows tech ask them for a call back number, there Microsoft cert id and where they are located. Also never download or give out any personal information
