another telemarketing scam call. called back and got the same "if you like to be placed on a do not call list press 1" Just block the number on my iphone. they called both my iphones. block
Caller ID panel said "Bagdad KY" which is I presume a city. 100% of the time, if a city shows versus a company name, it's a scam call. I have learned that if you perceive you're being robodialed by one such number, if you pick up the handset and be silent, after 20 seconds the call will disconnect and the caller's computer system is given an area code. I've been doing that a lot lately, with predictable results. Presumably, they'll never call your number again from that number. Of course, the trouble now is that scammers by blocks of thousands of numbers, so you will get the same calls from an every-changing variety of numbers. When I picked up this call, the disconnect happened in about 5-6 seconds versus the typical 20. So aggravating to get these calls.
