I've been getting a lot of calls this year from a 502 area code. I don't know anyone from that part of KY and the others like this one was from a telemarketing-type firm soliciting donations from various groups out there. Seems as though once they get your number on their list they use it for all the different organizations that hire their services. Lately, all the calls I've been receiving from this {502} are for donations for some state police linked org. I did a web search on them and found that they 1. are NOT nonprofit 2. seem to have huge waste on some really unneedful projects like monuments and 3. They will drive you crazy with the phone calls if you do try to help them out. My suggestion to anyone receiving calls from this number is to block it, but be prepared to get many more from a new number. :{
