left msg saying it was a debt collector service. but does not say who they are calling for, it is bleeped out. they also do not say any details whatsoever. i called the number back and the voicemail is sketchy. it says i've reached an extension when i dialed none; it does not leave the person's name on the voicemail, the voicemail is scratchy even though it is computerized. i did not give them my name on the msg i left them. any debt collector would have my address anyways.
Received a phone call regarding a google adwords account over a month ago... I refused to give info over the phone. When I asked what email this was filed under, they listed one that was most definitely not mine. I asked what credit card they had payment under but they said it was more paperwork. I said I'd wait. Today, I got my first letter in the mail from Euler Hermes Collections with a total payoff amount of $97.28. Envelope looks legitimate but inside letter is photocopy of letterhead addressed to Dear Sir/Madam. Claims it's a company of Allianz on the bottom of the letter, and is signed by David Maxwell. I'm so confused.
Just today, I got a mysterious collections letter as well. It is from the collection agency “Euler Hermes”. It states my account was referred to them by Google AdWords, only..I can’t see a thing under ‘billing summary’ when I sign into my adwords account. I also don’t remember actually launching any adwords campaigns.
I e mailed the collection agency asking for more information about the account they are referring to so that I can verify it.
Something seems fishy..because Google themselves has no such amount owed displayed on the site when I log in.
